Missions

Cowpens First Baptist has a long and storied history of mission outreach. From Miss Bertha Smith, the first single female Southern Baptist missionary to China, to the Oakdale mission, a local Hispanic ministry started under the leadership of former pastor Rev. Ronell Owensby, our congregation has ministered around the globe and locally. We’ve provided Thanksgiving dinners for families in our community. We also offer food assistance on the second, third and fourth Tuesday of each month through our food pantry, The Bread Box. We support a variety of missionaries and mission agencies both in the United States and in different parts of the world. You are invited to partner with us in a mission venture.
